It's one thing to be able to pick fast and a whole other world being able to pick fast and clean! If you are like me and have struggled with this, don't worry because there are a ton of little things you can add into your daily practice routine to play faster.
Also remember not to feel discouraged if you can't get your fingers to play as fast as you want right now. A lot of guitarists you see shredding effortlessly have done a lot of less glamorous practice behind the scenes and taken a million baby steps in their practice to eventually be able to play fast.
My biggest tip if you want to play fast, is to start by playing slower
